Janice is a mother to four great young men. She has worn many hats in her life and did whatever she had to provide for her family as she raised them on her own. This gave her incredible drive and a varied skill set.
She began working as a Geotechnician for an Engineering firm in Nanaimo in 2018. As a former ECE, she always knew she wasn't afraid to get dirty (also a good thing with 4 boys), but she learned she liked working in the dirt and showed a real aptitude for it. She took courses to learn how to improve her skill set, such as AutoCAD and technical soils and water courses, and then enrolled in various courses about Septic Systems with Equip Training and attended industry conferences with WCCOMA to achieve ROWP-PL status with ASTTBC. She continually participates in continuing education to hone her skills. Her diligence, thoroughness and attention to detail have served her well in this career.
John is currently working towards becoming a ROWP-MP.
John is an all-around great guy. He's affable and has a helping nature. He's Janice's muscle and strong back. He can often be seen managing a shovel or auger or holding the end of a tape measure to help Janice with on-site assessments and inspections.
John is taking courses with Equip Training and preparing to apply with ASTTBC.
He's a bit of a funny guy and you may see him performing stand-up comedy around the Island.
We owe much to Jim and his team at Equip Training. We have no hesitation in working with Jim's students.
